List Of Common Issues With Apps In Windows 8

Windows 8 has beautifully provided a common platform in mobile and computing by adding marketplace aka Windows Store. Nowadays, we all have smart phones having access to its OS store from where we can download new stuff for us. In the same way, Windows Store inside Windows 8 lets us to have new buzz in our OS. There are lots of apps in free and paid version are available to users.

But, in general cases, we found out that many users are facing issues while they are downloading, installing apps from Windows Store. In this article we’ll highlight some common issues and provide a solution to fix them. Before moving to them, we recommend you to try following hit and trials in fixing an issue:
  1. Run the Windows App Troubleshooter
  2. Try switching local account to Microsoft Account or vice versa
  3. Make sure you have latest drivers installed on your Windows 8
  4. Make sure you have correct date, time, region settings
  5. Restart Windows Update service
  6. Run SFC /SCANNOW command in administrative Command Prompt
  7. Reset the app cache (go to Start Screen and type WSReset.exe, press Enter)

This issue can’t be fixed with Windows App Troubleshooter as we’ve tested. You can try following fix to troubleshoot this message:
  • Issue 2 : Something happened and this app couldn’t be installed. Error Code 0x8024600e
This error is probable to appear due to corrupted registry associated with temporary internet files.
  • Issue 3 : Something happened and this app couldn’t be installed. Error Code 0x8024600e
  • Issue 4 : Something happened and this app couldn’t be installed. Error Code 0x80073cf9
There is no selective fix to this prominent error. However, you can try couple of methods provided in following article to get fixed:
  • Issue 5 : Your purchase couldn’t be completed. Something happened and your purchase can’t be completed
You can expect this error while downloading apps from Windows Store. Irrespective of paid or free app, this issue can be faced due to Windows Update start up type.
